Last year alone, the United States gave over one billion dollars to Saudi Arabia in foreign aid and billions more in oil sales. For decades now, Saudi Arabia has been one of our greatest allies in the Middle East; perhaps due to their opposition to terrorism groups such as Al-Qaeda put more transparently for their compliance with the United States in business transactions and foreign policy.
"Going to Thailand and just being submersed in a completely different culture was such an eye opening experience. from riding in the back of a pick up truck through the motorcycles choked streets of Chiang Mai to van rides in rural mountainous thailand, we did so much there.

As time progresses, people assume that infamous American prejudice slips further into our pasts. However, time recently stopped for a 14 year-old Muslim boy, Ahmed Mohamed, when he brought a homemade clock to school and was arrested because teachers falsely accused him of creating a bomb. His clock helped bring to light the perpetual existence of American prejudice due to the judgments made about him based off of his religion.

A city buzzing with the constant purr of neon lights, and the glow of advertisement. Based off of dishonest business and revolved around gluttony, this imaginary city is the focal point of Halsey’s new album Badlands. The city prides itself in sin, and lures tourists to its bright lights like flies. People far enough from the alluring force of the Badlands don’t dare talk about it because those are the Badlands, you don’t go there.

Michael Brown lay still on the asphalt. The body was surrounded by a barrier of yellow tape and a crowd of residents looming over the newly killed 18 year old. He slept motionless and face down as the cameras began pouring in and the confusion began diffusing throughout the community. One year later, the facts have been presented. It’s so unfortunate that a city lit up with life is so commonly mistaken for a place ridden with theft and fear. When stories were told to me about the country of Portugal, I heard of shady streets and people you shouldn’t trust. I was told about the crumbling economy and devastated buildings. Everything was mentioned but the indescribable exuberance in the city of Lisbon.

New York fashion week boomed with bold statement pieces and daring colors, but some were feeling uneasy. With fall trends ringing in the new season, no designer has more controversy on the catwalk than Dolce & Gabbana. Celebrities everywhere sport the luxurious clothing brand along with the company’s jewelry and makeup products. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are known as the faces of the Italian company, and were also romantic involved until 2005. In an interview with the Italian Magazine Panorama, the two men were quoted in saying that IVF (the technology of taking an egg from a woman and a sperm from a man in a test tube) results in, "children of chemistry, synthetic children, uteruses for rent, semen chosen from a catalog”. Early this August at Lightbridge Academy, in Cranford, New Jersey two employees at the local daycare center started a “fight club”. The employees at the daycare center rounded up a dozen children ranging from the ages of 4-6. Chanese White, age 28, and Erica Kenny, age 22, decided to go outside with the young kids and instigated them to fight one another. The videos were shared rapidly after the two workers posted them carelessly to their Snapchat stories.
